Virginia State University - Tree Master Plan

Virginia State University sought to establish a commemorative tree program to benefit the college and the community by providing opportunities for alumni to sponsor specific plantings in an on-campus arboretum to foster campus enhancement, contribute to the teaching and research opportunities at the University and create a living, dynamic memorial to alumni, faculty and friends. Commonwealth Architects prepared a master plan for the arboretum, including a diverse group of plantings, taking into account the temperate zone and micro-climates of the site.
