Fort Monroe Casemates

Commonwealth Architects has been selected by the Fort Monroe Federal Area Development Authority (FMFADA) to provide architectural and engineering services for the Phase I building analysis of the Fort Monroe Casemate No. 22 located on the historic fort at Old Point Comfort in Hampton, VA. The phase I project is focused on four casemate vaults and adjacent support space totaling between 5,000 and 6,000 gross square feet. Information gathered during this stage should be applicable to a future, expanded casemate project and will provide analysis needed to stabilize and rehabilitate this historic resource.
