Virginia Housing Development Authority - Virginia Housing Center

Commonwealth Architects is upgrading VHDA’s Virginia Housing Center to include a training/conference center, furniture and exhibit storage and a disaster recovery facility. In addition to developing detailed plans for the required facilities, Commonwealth Architects’ design work also included the modernization and upgrading of the building’s mechanical, electrical and life safety systems. The design team also added new elevators and new restrooms, while upgrading the second-floor structure to accommodate the anticipated population density.
