Segway of Richmond

Located in Richmond’s historic Shockoe Slip, this space has been converted to house a retail store for Segways, self-balancing personal transportation machines, and their accessories. Commonwealth Architects approached this project in two phases. The first focused on refurbishing and specifying the interior design elements necessary to open the doors to the public as soon as possible, focusing on the interior layout and customer traffic flow. The use of existing architectural elements was maximized in order for refurbishing time to be minimized. Secondly, the project focused on interior graphics and signage as well as post-refurbishment adjustments required after occupancy.
