Butterworth Building

Seeking to ignite a transformation of downtown Hopewell, Commonwealth Architects designed the adaptive reuse of the former Larkin Hotel, which was built in 1916. Most recently the home to Butterworth's Furniture, the building, which has been abandoned for several years, was rehabilitated to include 24 one- and two-bedroom apartments. The project will also feature a landscaped courtyard and a 2,000-square-foot second-floor terrace to be used by a prospective restaurant.
