
Landscape Architect Rick Gorrell Joins Commonwealth Architects

Commonwealth Architects is pleased to announce that Rick Gorrell, LA, ASLA, has joined the firm as a senior associate. Gorrell has more than 30 years of experience in landscape architecture and master planning with expertise in land use, revitalization plans, and design of a range of community spaces.
His experience includes landscape architecture and site planning for many libraries in Henrico and Chesterfield Counties, and landscape architecture for Spotsylvania County Schools. His community master plans have transformed environments in a number of major office parks and helped create a vision for planned residential communities such as Wyndham in Henrico County and Kings Charter in Hanover County.
In addition to the practice of landscape architecture, Gorrell has taught courses to master gardening students in The University of Richmond's Landscape Design program at Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden. A graduate in Landscape Architecture from West Virginia University, he is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
