RiverFront Investment Group has a New Home
Commonwealth Architects recently completed the redesign of the interior of the former Richbrau brew-pub in Shockoe Slip, converting it into a modern open office space for RiverFront Investment Group.

The Empire Theatre's Reign Continues
Our own Susan Reed was part of an article on The Empire Theatre that appeared in the November 2011 issue of Richmond Magazine. Project Manager for the restoration of the theatre's façade, Reed "discovered some curiosities while examining the original blueprints for the buildings. The Empire's first name was the Star Theatre." Look for issues of the November Richmond Magazine on newsstands now.
The appearance of the article about the 100-year-old Empire coincided with the public announcement of a $2 million gift from Sara Belle and Neil November to Theatre IV and Barksdale Theatre that will fund the restoration of the façade of Richmond's Empire Theatre to its former glory. We are delighted to be the Architect for this project.
In addition, we'd also like to thank Phil Whiteway and our friends at the Barksdale and Theatre IV for this terrific post about our recent announcement of receiving the 2011 T. David Fitz-Gibbon Virginia Architecture Firm Award.
