Tanners Landing

Completed in 2007, the Commonwealth Architects team provided architectural, interior design and engineering services for the design of this new condominium facility on Granby Street in Norfolk, Virginia. Inspired by the site’s beautiful view of the Lafayette River, the design team incorporated elements of the local community and life on the river into the design. Limiting the height of the building to match the surrounding residential areas and designing the facade with a classic motif helped to blend the new facility into the neighborhood.

The project site incorporates decorative fencing and landscaping, while protecting and preserving green space areas. Extensive consideration has been given to the vehicular and pedestrian traffic flow, allowing ingress directly from Granby Street. Each condominium unit has been carefully laid out with extensive amenities, including high ceilings, built-in cabinetry and bookshelves, high-speed data wiring throughout and top-grade appliances.
